"God, teach me lessons for living so I can stay the course. Give me insight so I can do what you tell me—my whole life one long, obedient response."

A New Experience Waits Ahead

I just registered for my first 5K.

Yep, and I signed up my whole family too.  They are going to being doing this with me.

I am not a runner and have never liked running unless I was playing soccer or football or some game that gave me a reason to run (like capture the flag).

But this 5K gives me a reason to run -- COLOR!!!  I am going to covered in colors by the end of this race!  How could that not be a reason to run a 5K?

I am also not a morning person but chose to do the morning run!

Who am I becoming?!?

And I am so excited about this 5K Color Run!!!

I discovered the Color Run last year and I was to late to register.  But now I am all ready to go in May to run, probably more like walk my first 5K.  But who cares?  It will be so much FUN!

I am hoping a few friends join us on our team as well, the more we have, the more fun it will be!

Time Flies When You're Having Fun

Wow a year has pasted since I have updated anything here on my blog.

This past year has been a fun one full of adventures and lessons and growing and memories with friends and family.

It has been a year full of creative meals and projects (thanks to Pinterest).
Even Danny is getting creative building things we find on Pinterest

God has been teaching me about submission and obedience and waiting on His timing.  It has been good but hard at the same time.

As a family, we watched God provide for all 4 of us to travel to Uganda.  We fell in love with the people we met and our hearts broke saying goodbye.

Beautiful friends at Jireh Children's Center

We ventured out on new adventures as a family, like visiting Washington DC for the first time, going on a safari in Africa, discovering a new favorite spot in Yosemite.

We had fun being tourists in DC

On our safari we saw elephants, lions, hippos, crocs and God's creation

First time to Glacier Point in Yosemite and saw the Blue Moon there.

Our family celebrated 12 years of being established with a yummy treat.

7.8.2012 = 12 years married to my best friend

The boys began a new year of school, excited to see their friends and to learn more.

We don't know what lies ahead in this adventure but we know that we will travel it together having fun and trusting God to guide us.

Family Blessings!

This past summer we headed to Colorado for a great time.
It had been too long since my whole family had gotten together.
We were only missing my brother for this reunion.

Family is a wonderful treasure that nothing can compare to.
My family begins with my Mom & Dad.
They celebrated their anniversary of 46 years this past summer!
Aren't they cute?

How do people make it in life without Sisters?
Even though there are many miles between us that does not change that they are there when I need a friend to talk to.
To add to the blessing of sisters is their families.

My Brother always makes me laugh.
He was missed by all of us.

(Picture from previous reunion)

I had so much fun with my Nieces
I got to do all sorts of girly things with them like their hair, paint their nails, make bracelets and taught them about how to do makeup.

Nephews are so much fun too.
They are full of character and energy.
The boys had a great time with the boys.

After a great time with my family we continued on to meet up with more family for some more adventures.
The boys love watching and helping Aunt Tara at her barrel races.

We enjoyed a day out on the lake with Uncle Robert's boat.

Grandparents are full of love.
My boys are blessed to have many memories with their grandparents.

I have been especially blessed on top of this great family to have Danny as my Husband.
We celebrated 11 years of marriage this past summer!
And enjoy living life with our 2 Sons.

I Love My Family!

New Season Ahead

This week our family began a new season.
The boys started back to school.
2nd & 3rd Grade.

Did you check out the boys new kicks?
They were so ready to wear them, Cole waited almost all summer till he could wear his new shoes.

I am so thankful that my boys love life
and have fun where ever they go.

Our 2011 Summer of Adventures is now behind us but we are looking forward for more adventures to explore this school year.

New Adventure

This past summer has just ended for me as we have officially started the second week of school. The summer kept us busy from beginning, right to the very end with an amazing family camping trip to Yosemite. A place now that we all desire to go back. For me I want to visit Yosemite in every season to see the changes that come with Fall, Winter and Spring... I have seen Summer and love it.

Now as we settle down into a sort of routine, I find myself in a new phase of life. Both the boys are in school all day long. No more kindergarten!! No more multiple drop offs at the same school.
The boys are enjoying their new classes and even getting to play kickball and soccer with each other at lunch and recess.

I have been thinking about this time of my life I find myself in now since January. What am I going to do? What is it going to be like? What can I finally get done? And here I am still without an answer to those questions.

Over the summer God had placed a few things on my heart of what I am passionate about and want to do. The whole time over the summer I kept making excuses of that would be great but ... Yesterday in church God whispered in my ear and asked me if I trust Him. If I trust that He will provide for our needs, He will provide where I feel unqualified, He will provide the time to get what needs done, done. Again He asked me do you trust Me?

So I am sitting here taking baby steps, taking steps with my eyes closed and leaping forward saying God I am going to trust You. Trust that you will make a way for what You have planned and You will guide me when I quit listening to the "world" and keep my eyes on You.

I am excited and nervous. This summer I have learned that I have to take steps to get somewhere. I have learned that what seems to me as a mistake is really a lesson to learn how to do it better. I have learned that everyone starts at the beginning. I have learned that I have to make things happen it won't just fall out of the sky.

Pray with me as I venture out on this new adventure, not sure where I am going or what I am going to find along the way. But my bags are packed and I am moving forward ready to see something amazing that God is going to do.
