"God, teach me lessons for living so I can stay the course. Give me insight so I can do what you tell me—my whole life one long, obedient response."

We Have Moved!!!

We have finally made it down to my parents and had a wonderful weekend at our new church. We moved on Thursday with Danny making 2 trips but are starting to get settled in here. Friday my parents watched the boys so Danny and I could go out on a much needed date. We enjoyed a nice night out, dinner at Wahoo's (so yummy), checked into our hotel and then went to the church for a night of entertainment by a comedian magician. We had a fun time. On Saturday we slept in and then drove around and looked at some houses enjoyed a late lunch at Claim Jumper then came home to my parents.

Sunday was a long good day. Danny left really early to get to church to help set up. The boys and I were late it took me 1.5 hours to get there due to a detour on the 91 and the rain, but we made it just fine. For the second service I was with Danny in the Underground (where the students meet) and I think he did a great job. There were lots of students, boy am I going to have a hard time remembering names.... not to mention all the adults that we met too.

We went out to a nice lunch at Chipotle with some new friends, Doug and Rose and their girls, Amber and Tim, Joel and Collene and there son, and Joel's parents Carol and (see I already forgot a name - sorry) Joel's Dad and younger brother.

We got Danny's office together just in time for Danny to go to a meeting and the boys and I to start home.

I got Cody registered for school (speech) and of course it is right in the middle of kindergarten registration for next school year so they were busy. :)

We are doing good, everyone is feeling much better from the flu the past couple of weeks. The boys enjoy seeing Nana and Papa every day. We are really excited for what is to come and thank God for this amazing opportunity to be apart of this new church.

Tonight is our first High School night, I am really excited to go and start meeting some more girls.

Quote of the Day

God usually answers our prayers so much more according to the measure of His own magnificence, than of our asking, that we do not recognize His benefits to be those for which we sought Him.

This past week...

Today and this week have been a lot of last... for us and goodbyes. It has been bittersweet. Some things are easy to say bye to while others are hard.

Like today was a hard one, this was my last time with my Friday Morning Bible study. They are a group of friends that have been an amazing support for me. Women who have shown me what a true friend is all about. Friends who not only say they are going to pray for me but do it right there. Also friends who have loved on me and my family. I am going to miss each of them but I know that this is not a complete goodbye, rather more of a see you later...

**Thanks Liz for the picture

Also for the boys this was the last day at their preschool. I am so thankful for the school they have been able to attend and especailly for their teachers (Miss Rachel and Miss Leann- Cole's teachers; and Miss Rita and Miss Rhonda- Cody's teachers). This has been the best school year for both of the boys. They love to go to school and they have a wonderful time. What a blessing for me that school has started off for them on a positive note. (I also have to give credit to Nicole Tickle and Miss Tammy for also making school a wonderful experience for Cody as well, especially last year)

We also had our last church service here this past week. It was a time of saying goodbye but Danny and I are ready to move on. We will miss the friends that we have made here but know that there are those who will stay in touch and it is again more of a see you later than goodbye. We went out to lunch with some students, the boys finally showed up but we were all done. :)

Since I am going back this past week, we had a wonderful farwell suprise party by the coaches and their wives. It meant so much to us that they would do that for us. Danny really enjoyed his time coaching at BCHS and we are thankful for the memories that we will cherrish and the friends that we have because of it. Thank you Coach Barnett and Diane and Ken and Lyn!!

Tuesday we had a suprise visit from students who came over and helped us pack up. They were a huge help to us - Thank you all who came over to help.

Danny left on Wednesday to get his office set up and have some time down at the church. He has had a wonderful time there. It has been awhile since I have heard Danny that happy and comfortable in a place. He left last night on a charter bus to go skiing in Utah with the high school students. He will be back on Monday and we will then move in with my parents.

So that is my week in a nutshell, along with packing and getting the house on the market.
Here are some Pics of the boys today climbing the tree at school:

Last Sleepover....

Last night was the last sleepover with this amazing group of girls (for those who don't know our last day here is tomorrow). Each one of the girls has a way of making me smile and I am very proud of them. We have had some amazing times together, some times of tears, tons of laughter, times of growing, times that were hard to get through, and times that will never be forgotten. So this is for them this group of girls that have taught me so much. (because of time this is going to be about the girls who were at the sleepover, there are other girls who have had many "times" with me like Kristina and Mihaela and I love you guys too and will miss you).

Bonnie, Abby, Ashley P., Bethany, Cassie, Cathy, and Ashely M. lets take a trip down my picture memory lane........

I love you girls and am excited to hear about the adventures God takes you on. Don't forget to dance with Him on the way.

Don't forget to Pray for the Men and Women...

A friend of mine sent this to me in an email. I thought it was interesting and think that a minute of prayer for those fighting, regardless of how you feel about the war there are still men, fathers, brothers, husbands, and sons, mothers, daughters, and sisters that are over there and need our support. So stop just a minute and pray for them.
In WWII, there was an advisor to Churchill who organized a group of people who dropped what they were doing every night at a prescribed hour for one minute to collectively pray for the safety of England, it's people and peace. This had an amazing effect as bombing stopped! There is now a group of people who are organizing the same thing here in America .
If you would like to participate: each evening at 9:00 PM Eastern Time (8:00 PM Central, 7:00 PM Mountain, 6:00 PMPacific), stop whatever you are doing and spend one minute praying: for the safety of the United States, our troops, our citizens and for peace in the world.
If you know anyone who would like to participate, please pass this along.
Someone said if people really understood the full extent of the power we have available through prayer, we might be speechless. [AMEN!]
Our prayers are the most powerful asset we have.

yesterday

...is a day that I am glad is done. Our day started out with a garage sale and we did good getting rid of majority of things that we don't want to move with us. There are a few large things that we have left sell. But I hate garage sales, so I am glad it is over.

Danny and I were both really tired, we did dinner with the boys and then I decided to cut their hair. Cody just needed a trim since he had his cut at Christmas time. So after I trimmed Cody's hair I did Cole's hair (He really needed it). While cutting Cole's long mop Cody lost his tooth. It had been loose this past week and last night Danny popped it right out. Danny gave Cody a dollar for his tooth and Cody told me all about it and then asked "Mom when I loose my second tooth do I get two dollars?" That is one smart kid.
