"God, teach me lessons for living so I can stay the course. Give me insight so I can do what you tell me—my whole life one long, obedient response."

Tell Me What You Want to Read....

This New Year brings new ideas, one that I have is some new ideas to blog about. Since I really have no clue as to who reads my blog I will list my new ideas to blog about and then leave me a comment as to what you would like to read. My goal is to keep this blog updated quite a bit. I would say every day but I already know I will not be able to keep that one, but at least once or twice a week. But I would love to know what you think and also who stops by, even if I don't know you. So here are the ideas (in no order):

  • 1 Confessions In My Beautiful Chaos - this is about things that I am struggling with or those things that God smacks me in the face with that I need to work on. My idea with this is not to air "dirty laundry" but to share with you what I am going through because I know for me, when I hear someone else share their struggles I know I am not alone in this world.
  • 2 Whispers in My Ears - this is excerpts from my journal, basically what God is whispering in my ears.
  • 3 Something Yummy - recipes that I love and the story that makes it special.
  • 4 Hidden Blessings - shinning the spot light on those sweet little blessings in my life that sometimes goes unnoticed.

Also if there is anythings else you would like to hear from me let me know....leave me a comment. And of course I will keep posting all the other stuff as well :)

Thanks!!!

Out of the Bowers Boys' Mouths

Tonight Cody, Cole and I were eating our pizza for dinner and Cole was counting how many boys there were, 2 and how many girls there was, 1. And this is what came next:

Cody: What if we had a baby and it was a girl?

Mommy: Then you would have a baby sister.

Cole: I...I...I...don't want a baby sister.

Mommy: Oh really

Cole: Babies poop in their pants and I don't like that part.

what could I say to that...

Song for my "Peeps"

So Small by Carrie Underwood
What you got if you aint got love?
The kind that you just wanna give away
It's okay to open up
Go ahead and let the light shine through
I know it's hard on a rainy day
You wanna shut the world out
And just be left alone
Don't run out on your faith
Sometimes that mountain you've been climbing
Is just a grain of sand
What you've been out there searching for forever,
Is in your hands
When you figure out love is all that matters, after all
It sure makes everything else
Seem so small
It's so easy to get lost inside
A problem that seems so big, at the time
It's like a river that's so wide
It swallows you whole
While you're sittin round thinking about what you can't change
And worryin' about all the wrong things
Time's flying by, moving so fast
You better make it count, cause you can't get it back
Sometimes that mountain you've been climbing
Is just a grain of sand
What you've been out there searchin for forever
Is in your hands
Oh, When you figure out love is all that matters after all
It sure makes everything else
Seem so small

Verse for the Day

"May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him."
~Romans 15:13

God has heard my heart cry out to Him ....

Last week I was praying not that God would remove the hardships in my life right now but that I could have a moment to breathe and have some hope to continue through the adventure I am on right now. I prayed it hoping for that but okay with not getting it. But this God started answering it last week. He provided a Christmas tree for us. One that is real and is one of the most beautiful ones we have had. Not that this is a big deal but it was one less thing we needed to figure out what we were going to do or how to make it happen. Then he has blessed us with work opportunities to provide for our needs. He has also provided for us financially through out the past few weeks from gifts that we have been given.

I tell you all of this to say that God has heard my cry for hope and has blessed me way more than what I thought in my little prayer last week. Things are still hard but I have a renewed hope that helps me get through another day, another week, another month - and for that I am thankful. I hope that you can see through this how real God is and that He does provide for our needs and even beyond that.

* To all of you who have been God's hands providing for our family's needs during this season of our life, thank you. May God bless you for your faithfulness and kindness.

* To those of you who are struggling with anything know that God hears your cries and He takes care of you, trust Him and His timing. It may not look like what you want or come at your timing but He does not leave you alone to face your trails with nothing.

"Trust in Him at all times, O people; pour out your hearts to Him, for God is our refuge."
~Psalms 62:8 (NIV)
